On Saturday 30th May 2009 Sensei Clare took 3 members of the SKA Karate Team to England squad training. The criteria states you have to be 12yrs old to take part in kata training and 13yrs old to take part in kumite training, which means only CHLOE PHARO, BETHANY SCOULDING and ELLIE BARTON participated in the kata session. The training took place in the West Midlands and it lasted for approximately 2 hours. The England Kata Coach, Jonathan Mottram, who is a very succcessful competitor himself, took the training and all 3 girls enjoyed and benefitted from it. They all look forward to the next training and hopefully this will aid in their prepartion and dream to represent their country when they are 14yrs old.
Thank you to Sensei Simon who covered the SKA Karate Team's kata training whilst Clare was away!
