Shitoryu Karate Academy Website

Shitoryu Karate Academy (SKA) was formed in December 2007 and is affiliated to Hanko-Ryu Karate Association who concentrate purely on Shitoryu Karate. The chief instructor of Hanko-Ryu, Nariman Jeddi, 6th dan is a former British Kata Champion and a current World Kata Judge.

Shitoryu Karate Academy's main instructor, Clare Bonello, 2nd Dan has over fifteen years of karate experience, has an impressive collection of National and International medals and previously represented England at the Commonwealth Karate Championships.

We are a child friendly club and offer special classes for children as young as 5 years old. We also run sport karate classes for students wishing to take part in competitions. Although only a small club, Shitoryu Karate Academy has an extremely sucessful Sport Karate Team.
